Report: “Working as a Wardrobe Professional in Film & Television”

danajeanThanks to the willingness of Danajean Cicerchi (TWU Local 764) to share her working knowledge and experience in the world of television and film with fellow union members, twenty-nine (29) of our members spent the last two days gaining valuable information on how to transition from theatre to film and television production in the "Working as a Wardrobe Professional in Film and Television:  A Practical No-nonsense Training for Wardrobe Workers" class sponsored by Local 769.  As film and television work continues to grow in the greater Chicago area, this class provided information that will give our members a "leg up" in the search for work in those areas.

As a reminder, if you are looking for work in those industries, include this website in your search for film and television employment.  You will find links to the Chicago and Illinois film offices, the Illinois Production Alliance and several other organizations that may be helpful.

Another link that may well be helpful is to the Illinois Production Guide (produced by the Illinois Film Office), which contains over 25 pages of production companies, production coordinators, production managers and production offices.  The guide, produced by the Illinois Film Office, can be reviewed/downloaded at www.illinoisfilm.biz.

A special thanks goes to the "IATSE Training Trust" for providing financial support for this program.
