Return to what the Chicago Tribune calls “dance heaven”: Hubbard Street’s full-length, full-company One Thousand Pieces, inspired by Marc Chagall’s America Windows at the Art Institute of Chicago. Hubbard Street’s first standalone production, created for the combined ensembles of its main company and Hubbard Street 2, is a singular vision in the blue tones of Chagall’s famed windows, featuring lighting by Michael Korsch and sets and costumes by German designer Thomas Mika, whose prior collaborators in dance include John Cranko, Derek Deane and Kevin O’Day.
