IATSE: Save the NEA

The National Endowment for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Humanities not only invest in artists and performing arts venues, but they also provide job opportunities for some of our IATSE brothers and sisters.

Yet just last month, President Trump called for the elimination of these federal programs, citing “no meaningful impact.”

In a huge win for IATSE members and the arts community, the U.S. House Interior Appropriations Subcommittee approved its funding bill for the 2020 fiscal year, which included $167.5 million each for the National Endowment for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Humanities, $12.5 million more than the current funding level.

However, the bill still has a ways to go before it becomes law. Call your member of congress at 844-899-9913 and tell them to FULLY FUND the NEA and the NEH.
