On 5/13/2020 -- NBC Covered Bret Lehne and his crew from IATSE Local 52, a group of scenic carpenters. Usually, they make the sets and furniture you'll see in films and on television programs. With large scale productions at a total standstill, Bret realized that he and his friends had the skills, time, and tools in the union workshop to make intubation boxes -- protective equipment that can provide medical personnel with an added line of defense during the installation or removal of a ventilator when treating COVID-19 patients.
