We were able to again participate and represent 769 at the bi-annual General Executive Board Meetings which recently took place on Tuesday January 26, and Wednesday January 27, 2021 via Zoom. I wish to thank and acknowledge VP Sister Jenifer Jobst for listening in on these sessions. It was an intense and informative exchange of summaries and updates. The theme of most reports focused on the ongoing IATSE challenges and responses to our pandemic situation. To date our IA has shared approximately 15.5 million dollars in aid and outreach through a variety of programs! 2021 promises to be a challenging and busy time for everyone as well. Senator Lujan presented an optimistic overall outlook for the upcoming 117th. Congress and will be further advocating for supplemental assistance through the Heroes Act. He ended the session by presenting a highly compelling testimonial to his participation in and witness of the disturbing events on January 06, 2021.
